The Road to Become the New “Moët & Chandon” Executive Chef

“Moët & Chandon,”one of the world’s most-loved champagne Maison founded in 1743 with more than 270-year history, is looking worldwide for a new executive chef for the Maison. With the retirement of current executive chef Bernard Dance, who has been active for over 30 years, Moët & Chandon has decided to hold a global competition to select the new chef. The name of that competition is “Moët & Chandon Wants You!”

Moët & Chandon Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez. Since being appointed in 2005 at the young age of 35, he has continued to give life to the history of Moët & Chandon.



The executive chef—and one of a chef of a world beloved champagne Maison—is a career with a completely different vector from that of a normal restaurant. Experience the charms of a wide range of fine champagnes by “Moët & Chandon,” which have long enchanted a wide variety of people, with collaborations by Chef de Cave Benoît Gouez at their core. Develop culinary creations to further enhance the values of these champagnes, and entertain important guests of the Maison. Become an ambassador of the Maison and send a brand message to the world through the art of cuisine.





Moët & Chandon has entertained the world’s heads of state and royalty and other various internal VIP at the Château de Saran, which stands in the grape vineyards, and the Résidence de Trianon located in Épernay in the province of Champagne. Moët & Chandon shows off beautiful cuisine paired with wines, from brand signature Moët Impérial to vintages wines and diverse cuvée wines to these guests who know the finest things in this world. Moët & Chandon strives to impress these guests.

The application deadline is April 15th, Friday.(France time) Four semifinalists will later be selected, and the new executive chef will be decided via the semifinal and final held in Épernay at the beginning of July. Work begins at the Moët & Chandon Résidence de Trianon and Château de Saran in September 2016.
